OWL Section

Along with a team of 5, I created a mockup wireframe for Blizzard's Overwatch and Overwatch League, as a study on app design.  My primary focus of design was on the OWL section of the app.

Challenges

 

  • Capturing the IP's aesthetic.  There are no style guides for  the Overwatch League, so I studied pages from the OWL website and noted common or outstanding elements. Navigation is mostly as-followed from the site for  standardization.

  • Maintaining readability.   OWL contains a lot of  information displayed in many different ways. Visual hierarchy became a major factor in design decisions.
